Hatha Yoga

Energy purification & cultivation

Hatha Yoga is traditional system that focuses on balancing the body and mind by firstly purifying energy blockages that prevent us from owning our potential to thrive. The word "Ha" represents the solar side of the body (pranic force) and "Tha" represents the lunar side (mental force).

The practice of Hatha Yoga contains of physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to purify and manage the energy, creating balance in body-mind-soul.

  • Purify energy blockages and liberate stagnant energy
  • Cultivate Prana (energy) to feel vibrant
  • Balance the energy to unify spiritual and everyday life
  • Enhance focus and mental clarity

Yin Yoga & Sound Bath

nervous system & energetic rebalancing

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative practice of yoga where poses are held for longer periods. It targets the yin tissues which are deep connective tissues of the body—ligaments, joints, bones, and fascia—rather than muscles (yang tissue).

Inspired by ancient Chinese Taoist practices, Yin Yoga practice perfectly complements the more active "yang" energy of Hatha yoga. Combined with Sound Bath, it provides more space to release energetic blockages, heal energetic imbalance, and ultimately creates more spacious container within to meditate.

  • Comfortably hold the postures for longer periods to target the yin tissues
  • Release physical and emotional tension
  • Balance your nervous system and energy
  • Experience deep relaxation through soothing sound bath vibrations

New to yoga? Both practices can be modified for all body types and experience levels. Our most common feedback from beginners: "I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this!"

What Our Students Say

"

As someone who couldn't touch my toes and had never done yoga before, I was nervous. But Ayu made me feel completely comfortable and capable from day one. Three months later, I'm not just more flexible—I'm sleeping better and handling stress more effectively.

Sarah, Beginner Student

"

The combination of Hatha for strength and Yin for recovery has completely transformed my practice. The personalized attention in private sessions has helped me progress faster than years of large group classes elsewhere.

Michael, Intermediate Practitioner

Your Questions Answered

I'm not flexible - can I do yoga?

Absolutely! Flexibility is a result of yoga, not a prerequisite. We offer modifications for every body type and ability level. Many of our most dedicated students couldn't touch their toes when they started

What's the difference between Hatha and Yin Yoga?

Hatha is more active, focusing on strength, balance, and mindful movement. Yin is passive, with longer-held poses that target deeper tissues and promote relaxation. Together, they create a complete practice balancing effort and ease.

What should I wear? What do I bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For in-person classes, we provide mats and props, though you're welcome to bring your own. For online sessions, we'll send a list of recommended household items that can substitute for yoga props.

What happens in a typical class?

Each session includes an assessment to collect information about your intention and what you need, so we can guide you into the practice that suits your goal and meets your needs. After the assessment, we begin the practice in stillness, to center our awareness into the breath, preparing our being for the practice. Followed with posture (asana), ended with final relaxation & integration (savasana), then breathing technique (pranayama) to expand the energy we have shaped or cultivated throughout the asana practice. Finally, we enter meditation, as the final destination of our practice. For Yin & Sound classes, sound healing elements are included throughout the practice.
